How to verify your domain with Microsoft Office 365?

If you have set up services at Microsoft Office 365 and need to verify the domain, it can be done as shown in the guide below.

Step 1 - Setting up the domain at Microsoft:

  1. Log in to the Microsoft Admin center.
  2. Press "Settings" in the menu on the left.
  3. Click "Domains".
  4. Click "Add Domain".
  5. Enter the name of the domain to use with Microsoft.
  6. Select the desired verification method. In this example, we have chosen TXT (DNS verification).
  7. Select that you want to add DNS yourself and press next.
  8. Here you will get the value to enter in the DNS zone file at PRO ISP.

 

Step 2 - DNS control:
Log in to your customer page.
Find the relevant domain (exampledomain.org in our example):

  1. Press the "+" plus sign to bring up the domain menu.
  2. Press "DNS control".

Step 3 - Enter TXT entry in DNS
Enter the values ​​listed below. Remember to change the TXT value to the one you got in Step 1 from Microsoft.

  1. Under "Host", enter: @
  2. Under "Type", select TXT.
  3. Under "TXT Data", enter the value received by Microsoft that looks something like this: MS = XXXXXXX
  4. Set "TTL" to 3600.
  5. Press "Add".

Step 4 - Verify at Microsoft:
Return to Microsoft in step 1 and press verify your domain. If it does not get verified, wait a few minutes and try again.

The domain is now verified at Microsoft.
