In most cases where you get a "406 error message - not acceptable" this is due to the mod_security module in the web server. This is a firewall for web applications that runs on all of our web servers.
Mod_security scans all traffic for what it considers malicious traffic and may stop this traffic with the 406 error.

The error message is very rare and in most cases the problem will be resolved by turning off or modifying the mod_security rule that causes the error. Mod_security can be disabled for you domain trough cPanel.
