This guide explains how to install Perl modules from cPanel in our web hosting solutions. The guide requires you to first log into cPanel.

The guide was created in cPanel with Paper Lantern (theme) in Norwegian.

Step 1:

Step 2:

  1. Here, you will find the path where your Perl modules will be stored once the installation is completed.
  2. You can install Perl modules in 3 different ways:
    1. Search for the Perl module you want, and install it if you find it.
    2. Browse through a list of available Perl modiles and install the preferred one.
    3. Install the Perl module directly by specifying its name.
  3. Here, you can see the modules that are already installed.

Step 5:
The module(s) is/are now displayed in the overview of installed modules from step 2.3.
In the overview, you can:

  2. Reinstall the modules(e)

Step 6:
If the module gives an error message when running the script, try to include the cPanelUserConfig module which uses the user's correct path to Perl so that the installed modules are included.
Alternatively, you can also use #! /usr/bin /perlml. For more information see here.

We have now gone through the steps for installing a Perl module from cPanel.
